High Resolution Anoscopy
High resolution anoscopy (HRA) is an advanced diagnostic procedure. Similar to cervical colposcopy, HRA uses a magnifying device to closely examine the anal canal and perianal area. It allows for the detection of abnormal tissues or lesions that may not be visible with standard anoscopy. This procedure is particularly useful for identifying precancerous changes (anal dysplasia) and other abnormalities in the anal region such as anal warts. It can be combined with topical or cautery ablative procedures.
